The pace has quickened at Thomas Grover Middle School in West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District. The addition is now weather tight with brickwork complete and windows installed. The courtyard hardscaped surfaces are complete. The interior spaces have taken shape. Wood casework is installed, awaiting countertops. The toilet rooms have received their wall and floor tile finishes and are awaiting fixtures and accessories. Acoustical ceiling grids are installed and lighting installation is on-going. Remaining stages of work include all floor finishes and wall painting, electrical, mechanical and plumbing finishes and the delivery of loose furniture.

The original Thomas R. Grover Middle School was designed by our firm and completed in 1999. Twenty years later FVHD Architects has designed a new addition in order to help accommodate enrollment growth and programmatic needs.  This two story 25,000 SF addition will feature science labs and general classrooms to house an additional team on each grade level.  This $8.4 million project is presently under construction with a planned June 2021 completion date. It is part of the district’s successful November 2018 $114.9 million bond referendum.
