The Rock Brook School is a private, nonprofit, state-approved school for children ages 3-9 years who display developmental difficulties and require specialized individual educational plans for learning in small class settings. The school’s mission is to provide the highest quality of services for each child, his or her parents and contracting school districts and agencies. In order to accomplish this mission, a new school facility was needed to better meet the programmatic needs of the students as well as to provide an improved working environment for the staff. The building program includes special needs classrooms, programming rooms, occupational therapy rooms, observation rooms, administrative areas and conference rooms. The facility has been designed to the Division of Youth and Family Services Standards (DYFS).
