Part of a recently approved referendum, the main entrance at the Oakcrest High School will receive a comprehensive alteration and renovation, as well as new entrance canopy.
The need for this work arises out of several deficiencies in this part of the building. The project will provide a new organizational structure for the main office to improve internal efficiency as well as replace outdated systems. Concurrently, the main entrance will be renovated to provide increased security for the processing of visitors to the building during normal school hours. This will be enhanced by a new canopy outside of the main entrance. It will highlight where visitors must go for proper entry, solidifying a single entrance and exit point, allowing all other entrances to remain permanently secure throughout the day. Also, the auditorium lobby that extends from this entrance will receive upgrades for use during evening performance events at the school.
