Major capital upgrades to two of their aging schools. These upgrades at the Cedar Drive Middle School and the Conover Road Elementary School include building-wide HVAC and Electrical upgrades, roofing replacement, existing toilet room renovations, flooring replacement, casework replacement and corridor door replacement to provide intruder security. A third school, the Conover Road Primary School will also be receiving new corridor doors for added intruder security.
The Cedar Drive Middle School will also receive an additional major enhancement, a new Performing Arts Center which will include a 600 seat auditorium with state of the art sound and lighting, a 200 student stage with green room, new performing arts wing lobby and entrance canopy, box office, concessions, public event toilet facilities, new fitness center, and expanded parking lot. Currently the school does not have a proper facility for school plays, concerts and other similar events.
All three of the aforementioned schools will also receive expanded and redesigned vehicular traffic flow and parking.
