Work is well underway on the new Early Childhood Development Center for the Voorhees Township Board of Education. This former ice skating rink and medical office building will soon be converted into an exciting educational venue for Voorhees Township and Gibbsboro Boro 3- and 4-year-olds. This innovative project combines adaptive re-use, shared services and advancement of NJ State early childhood education goals. In addition, this project received a NJ State Pre-School Construction Grant which covers 40% of the project costs. This completely renovated building will house twenty-four Pre-K classrooms, small group rooms, administrative space and a multi-purpose room. A main feature of the building will be a large central two-story atrium space which will serve as an open play, movement and gathering area for the children. The project is slated for completion in March of 2025.
