NORTHERN BURLINGTON COUNTY REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Mansfield, New Jersey
Part of a recent large-scale referendum that passed in Northern Burlington, the images above show the proposed new main entrance to the High School campus. This is part of the largest of several additions to the expansive site. This large addition is designed to connect the two independent East and West buildings into one single cohesive building. The project is currently in design and will expand many of the unique programs of this extraordinary high school as well as upgrading many key building systems. However, one of the major goals of the referendum was to greatly improve occupant security, most notably, with the elimination of the need for students to leave one building and traverse a large parking lot to go to class in the other building.
The large connecting addition will include a new Main Office Suite, Teacher Planning, Nurse Suite, Library Media Center, Cafeteria and Kitchen Expansion, School Store, Business Classrooms, and state-of-the art Performing Arts Auditorium. Other additions to various sections of the school will provide a new Vocal Music Studio, Child Development Classroom, World Language Classroom, Junior ROTC Classroom, Fitness Center, Trainer's Office Suite, Agricultural Mechanics Lab, and Engine Shop.
Concurrently with the additions, much of the existing facilities will be renovated to provide new Board of Education Offices, new Art Rooms and Engineering Labs, new Graphic Design Lab, new Wood Shop, new Science Labs, new Theater Arts Classroom as well as many additional general classrooms. Other improvements to the existing buildings include complete HVAC upgrades, roofing replacements and site enhancements.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the early part of 2019.
